BayRICS Radio Operators Group

About the Radio Operators Group

The BayRICS Radio Operators Group is a monthly forum bringing together more than 50 regional stakeholders who are building or operating Project 25 (P25) and other radio networks within the Bay Area.

The BayRICS Radio Operators Group provides a forum for:
  • Discussing interoperable communications best practices and coordinating on regional interoperable communications efforts.
  • Recommending policies and procedures related to communications systems performance, maintenance, and other technical issues.
  • Maintaining and socializing a Regional Tactical Interoperable Communications Plan (TICP), Regional Fleetmap and Radio Programming Guidelines.
  • Guiding region-wide interoperable communications projects.
  • Hosting annual system key exchanges to promote cross-system interoperability.
  • Coordinating regular regional interoperability training and testing.

Activities of the BayRICS Radio Operators Group are guided by a Capabilities and Gaps Report and Recommendations document, completed October 2017.

Monthly Meeting Schedule
The BayRICS Radio Operators Group meets monthly on the third Thursday from 1:00-2:30pm at Alameda County Sheriff OES, 4985 Broder Blvd., Dublin, CA 94568.
